With some new admins and new gear we are ready to get things back on track. GGF is still located at the amazing fully air con Strathpine Community Hall.

With the inclusion of a few sponsors we will have prizes for competitions and draws. Hence the name GGF (Good Gaming Fun) we are all about gaming and not just about playing the latest and greatest games. We also encourage gamers to play some of the older games for a few laughs. We are looking at roughly 90 gamers for the next Lan and looking to grow to over 100 in the near future.

Also internet will now be provided at the event. It is only a small amount of data and will only be used for steam usage. Please try to make sure your steam up to date before arriving.

Had lots of fun last LAN, looking forward to this one.
Possible to arrange for another network port if we bring a linux iso server? Because there's just so many to choose from...

Welcome to LS and GGF

The only comp you need a team sorted and registered prior to the event is the COD4 comp. need 5 players and email me with details

As for the other comps, ut3, flatout etc just rock up on the day and the times will be up on the wall when they are going to start.

As for turning up at that door: this is fine both LS and GGF have seating for over 100 gamers, so if there are more than 100 people signed up then it might be 50/50 if you will get a spot. I encourage people to sign up to save a spot but you will most likely be fine if you don’t

Once we think the lan is rather full we will walk around to collect payment.

Any lcd is fine. Prob 30inch would be the max size,

Feel free to post any more questions.

Cheers

We use 100% gigabit with 4 port lag links from edge switches to core.

Yes LanDC++ is used for the purpose of sharing patches etc,
